Dodoa — Privacy Policy

Yaying Liang ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Dodoa mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, display name, and profile photo (optional). If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the identifiers those providers share (name, email).

User-generated content. Posts, photos, comments, and other content you create within the App.

Usage data. We collect anonymized analytics such as screen views, crash logs, and session duration through Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics.

Device information. Device model, operating system version, and language/locale settings, collected automatically by Firebase.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, health data, financial information, or any data from the device's photo library beyond what you explicitly choose to upload.

2. How We Use Your Information

Provide, maintain, and improve the App's features and services.
Authenticate your identity and secure your account.
Display your content to other users in accordance with your visibility settings.
Send transactional notifications (e.g., moderation actions on your content).
Diagnose crashes, monitor performance, and fix bugs.
Enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:

Firebase Authentication — account sign-in and identity verification. Firebase Privacy
Firebase Firestore / Storage — storing your content and media.
Firebase Analytics — anonymized usage analytics.
Firebase Crashlytics — crash and stability reporting.
Apple Sign-In / Google Sign-In — federated authentication.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data Shared with Third-Party AI

Dodoa does not send your personal data to any third-party AI service for processing, training, or personalization.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights & Choices

Access & correction. You can view and edit your profile information in the App at any time.
Delete your account. You can request account deletion from Settings inside the App. We will process the request within 30 days.
Withdraw consent. You may revoke permissions (e.g., notifications, camera) through your device's system settings.
Data portability. You may request a copy of your data by contacting us at the email below.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

7. Children's Privacy

Dodoa is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures — including HTTPS, Firebase security rules, and encrypted storage — to protect your data. No method of electronic storage is 100 % secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
